[link=Original thread]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Aquascaping/60654.html" style="COLOR: #FFCC99[/link]

I took apart a grocery bag to try as a background and I'm happy with the results. Plant order arrived yesterday so 15 corkscrew vals are in place.

Now...my opinion is the tank looks sectioned: red crypts, red ludwiga, green vals. Should I move the ludwiga to the left and fill over to the right with the crypts?

I'm also thinking about putting dwarf sag in the front. Would it look better in just one area or all the way across?

Thanks

it looks section as there is no foreground middle ground or background all the plants ar planted along the back ground when for example the crypts should be in the middle ground and all over the place rather then in the back corner. If you like a jungle of crypts then put them between the luwidiga and the vals. I would plant the vals in one corner instead of spread out all over the place. I would also do the same with the luwidiga except to make it look more balanced i would get LOTS of it. So its like 2 corners of tall plants and a forest of crypts in between if you want more depth get more foreground/midground plants and place them infront of the crypts and get more tall plants for the front corners. I do not like the d/w where it is i think it would look better being further to the left hand side as it looks 2 centeral.

Small, thin leaved cryptocornes always look better bunched up, as would yours. Bunch them into one plant, and place it slightly off center to the left--pretty much where the "crypt field" currently resides. Trim/replant the ludwigia for bushiness to fill out the entire left section.

The barbs looks fantastic and so does the tank. I like the val on the right, adds some nice greenies into the tank
