It's about a foot long, 1" in diameter. The tank is only half-filled with water for the crabs, the stick is on an angle for them to climb on so it's half submerged. The problem I'm having is a fuzzy white growth on the submerged part. I tried taking the wood out, scrubbing it, and then boiling it but the day after it was back in the tank the growth came back. I like the look of the bark on the wood but is this causing the problem? Or is there something else I can do to prevent it? Absolutly nothing to worry about, and nothing you do will really make it go away any faster. It's just something decomposing in the wood and is compleatly harmless. Increased boiling will do nothing, I've had it on all of my driftwood pieces that were boiled. Should go away in about a week. Watch the filter though (if there is one) as they sometimes will clog it up. ^_^ [hr width='40%'] It only hurts when I breathe" |
