Just noticed how on their profile here, it gives the impression they are generally a very nice community fish.
Has anyone here experience them being anything but nasty?
My LFS has said all the one's he's seen were very good fin shredders. I read lots of stories online about them injuring and killing other fish. The one's I've had in the past, 1 to a 6ft tank even..were very aggressive and I got rid of them.
I just bought 2 -2" SKunks from LFS-that he was happy to get rid of-and they have a nasty temperment. Figured this might actually be a good thing, as I'm trying them with a breeding pair of Kribs.

hehehe, well yes I have. I have no less than nine of them currently kept with endlers, bristlenoses, long-finned bristlnoses, yoyos, zippers, F1 mollies. In fact that profile picture is one of mine. Mine range in age from 6 months old or so to 6 years old. From one half of an inch to a full-sized almost 4 inch fish.

The only fin issue that has ever happened was with a betta smiragdina. They fought like cats and dogs. Remove betta and the tank is happy.

They make clicking sounds all of the time while eating, and have plenty of places to hide. They are much less stressed in a planted tank, and with little food competition. I over-feed my tanks and make up for it with more than necessary filtration.

Might want to give those guys a try again with a different tank environment; you'd be surprised

Yes they are at my lfs's for about 3-4$ a peice

I know a few people that have kept them, and the ones that have problems with their temperment had all been keeping them in small numbers-usually 1-3 of them. Any that kept them in larger groups had almost no problems.
