Albino Corydoras | |
jasonpisani *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 5553 Kudos: 7215 Votes: 1024 Registered: 24-Feb-2003 | Last week i saw my Albino Corydoras with red bloches near their tails & i was thinking that it was due to high water temperature, as it was 30 deg.cel. for 5/6 consecutive days. I removed the Corydoras to a cooler tank & the red bloches went away within 24 hours & the Corydoras survived. Has anybody had the same or similar problems, with Corydoras?. http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

Usually, albino Corydoras need only be kept between 20 and 25 degrees, sometimes even down to 17 without any decreased activity. The red bloches were, most probably, slight bursts in blood vessels due to an increased heart rate from the warmer conditions. Hope that helps, Tarky |
