i have 2 BN cats in a 75g, now they are a little older i can see that they are both males and they chase each other around quite alot when they find themselves close to each other in the tank.
is a 75g big enough for 2 males as they get larger or should i look to rehouse one and try to get hold of a female?

(tank stocking can be seen on my profile)

If you can change 1 of your males with a female, it will be better.
2 males might fight, but IMO a 75gal. tank is big enough for them & both can have their space.

i think 75g is fine....of course they might chase each other once in a while but i think it should be ok. Maybe you should try and exchange your male for a female.

The males may spar with each other, but in a tank that big you probably won't end up with any dead BNs. If you add a female though, you may be able to get them breeding. That's a big plus.

I shouldn't think that there would be a problem with a BN and a whiptail catfish. Though the pleco might try showing the whiptail who the boss is, any fighting won't be as bad as with two male BNs.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

BN are downright docile when placed in comparison with other ancistrines. Ever seen a pair or baryancistrus fight to the death?

You have nothing to worry about.
