went down and looked in the tank this morning. both our BN and plec were together inside a smallish rock. One BN was on top of the plec. Could this be a case of bullying by the BN? We are going to keep an eye on them, and poss consider moving the plec to another tank

any thoughts?

Just keep an eye on them & if you see anything strange, just move one of them to another tank.

Ancistrinae are generally highly territorial towards one another. But this is usually directed only towards conspecifics.

When my bristlenose was beating up on the L128 (another Ancistrinae species) I had, I never saw it sitting on top of the other plec. Instead, it moved up alongside the L128 and apparently stabbed it with pectoral fins and maybe the spines on its operculum. They do more damage than the sucking disc.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

hmm will keep an eye on them. they are ok most of the time as they keep there distance. the 127 has a rock he has claimed and the BN tend to keep to separate places. we try to spread the food out too, so they havent got to share. the 127 however does seem a little withdrawn.

will keep an eye on them
