I just got a BN and he is so small I put him in my fry tank for now. When he gets bigger and I put him in the 90, will the common and the BN get along? Thanks

They should. Most plecos aren't notorious for being aggressive, unless there are any interspecies problems I don't know about.

When I first got my plecos, I had a common and a bn. (both of which I still have now, great fish) They were both around 3 inches, and liked the same piece of driftwood. The bn would push and shove the common around, but never did anything major. Now the common is over twice the size of the bn and they stay away from each other.

So in conclusion at first if they are the same size they might scuffle a bit but the common will seriously outgrow it and you should be fine.

Hi Connor, it really depends on the gender of the plecs and the size of the tank and how many hiding places you have (I noticed that you refered to the bn as "he" but sounds to be too small to know for sure yet). The only problems that COULD occur was if they were both males and were in the same tank that was small.

A 90g should be fine because they have plenty of room for their own territories if they are both males. Females do not relatively have a problem with eachother.

In conclusion, I would say that you are A-OKAY!

I don't think you'll have any problems with your BN & Common Pleco. Your tank is big enough for both.
