I tried a cantelope aka rock melon in my tank and my BN plec never touched, nor did my farowella catfish. My swordtails were the only that pecked at it. I while back i tried a zucchini and I had the same results.

Whats wrong?

You might want to try steaming the veggies some so they aren't as hard and tough for everyone to eat....I've never had anyone in the tanks not want to eat their veggiesunless they were undercooked

EDIT: Don't forget to let them cool and slice them before trying to feed them to the fishies:%)sure you knew that though hml

make sure the veggies you offer make it to the bottom of the tank so the BN can find them. I use a veggie clip, often used to anchor algae for marine tanks. Works a charm. Another I know simply spears the veggies on a stainless steel dinner fork and gently places it in the tank. Or you can rubber band it to a piece of driftwood. You should have real driftwood in the tank at all times by the way, as most of the the raspers eat the lignin (wood fibre).

I offer zuchinni, cucumber, broccoli stem, lightly steamed asparagus, romaine lettuce, a slice of yukon gold potato or sweet potato, even a thin slice of tomato now and then. They love it all. I remove the seeds to keep my filter from getting clogged up. Anything still there after a day or two is pulled out and replaced with fresh.

Also, make sure you offer some meaty food too. Most algae wafers contain a fair bit of fish meal. My juvie bristlenose really love freshly hatched baby brine shrimp.
