I use a veggie clip, often used to anchor algae for marine tanks. Works a charm. Another I know simply spears the veggies on a stainless steel dinner fork and gently places it in the tank. Or you can rubber band it to a piece of driftwood. You should have real driftwood in the tank at all times by the way, as most of the the raspers eat the lignin (wood fibre). I offer zuchinni, cucumber, broccoli stem, lightly steamed asparagus, romaine lettuce, a slice of yukon gold potato or sweet potato, even a thin slice of tomato now and then. They love it all. I remove the seeds to keep my filter from getting clogged up. Anything still there after a day or two is pulled out and replaced with fresh. Also, make sure you offer some meaty food too. Most algae wafers contain a fair bit of fish meal. My juvie bristlenose really love freshly hatched baby brine shrimp. |
