skylinegtts![]() Hobbyist Posts: 135 Votes: 1 Registered: 22-Jun-2003 ![]() ![]() | hey, i was wondering if BN's eat other BN fry. For example, if i had say 3 pairs of BN in the tank, and one pair bred, would the others eat the fry, would it be alrite to have them in the same tank as the parents and their fry. Thanks. |

The male bn takes care of the little tikes but as they get bigger I do believe that the male gets territorial so you would have to separate them when they start getting bigger. If you have other bn's/fish in the tank I would suggest having the father and the fry in a separate tank if you are able, like a grow out tank or something. How big is the tank you have now? You have three sets? Unless you have a big tank with plenty of hiding spaces the males do tend to fight over territorial reasons. Be careful! ![]() |
