They're very nice loaches. Like cories, the larger the group they're kept in the more active they are. They don't stay on the bottom of the tank and will even surface feed. I think I paid $10 each for mine.

And this species is the best snail-eater you will ever find. At work, our spiny eel tank (which has a fine sand substrate), was infested with Malaysian Trumpet Snails. I put in a Botia sidthimunki, and the next weekend when I cam back there was not a single snail in the tank... Just a bunch of eels and a very fat, very happy loach.

Those are adorable I want some!!! But, I'm not willing to pay $30 US each, so where did you find them for $10? I also have a question about something they said on liveaquaria, under the facts about it...

How can both of these be true? Or am I just being a bit too detailed?

Currently due to the low numbers in the wild, they are being farm-raised in Malaysia.

The breeding habits of this species are not known, and successful captive breeding has yet to be recorded.

It seems that if it is one it can't be the other to me:%)

Also if I were able to get a few 2-4, how would they do in my 125? The stocking in it right now is:
* 4 clown loaches
* 8 adult metae corries
* 6 adult agazzis corries
* 3 adult albino corries
* 1 Arched corry
* 10 adult hasbrosus corries
* 5-10 juvenile and fry metae corries
* 22 Neon Tetras
* 6 Harlequin Rasboras
* 2 Emperor Tetras
* 2 Albino BNs
* 1 Betta
* 1 Male Guppy

I think that is it:%) Oh and I know the metae are breeding, and possibly the hasbrosus

It is possible to farm raise fish with put seeing the actual spawning activity because of shear size of the water they are in, many Asian farms don't use tanks for their breeding they use hand dug ponds and collect with nets.
