Some cory species do well in high temps. C. sterbai, c. gossei, c. Adolfoi are some.

Hey,
Thanks for the replies.
The cories sterbai and adolfi can handle water up tu 19-26C,i think i will not buy them.
The temprature that i need is 28C-30C/82,4F-86F because i will buy some discus.
You think clown loaches will be ok...they can handle 25C-29C..
Plecos i think i will not have since they will not be ok with discus, except if there are some plecos that are small and can handle 86F?

I always taught that Corydoras need lower temperatures, as in the summer months when the temperature rise alot, they are the ones that die first from all the fish that i have.

If you can find them, try some Ancistrus sp. "Pucallpa". These guys actually come from waters with that temp range. They are great for use in Discus tanks. You may have to find a breeder to get them. They are a smaller type bushynose pleco. I have a breeding pair, but have not set them up for breeding in a while, and have no fry.

Common plecos live and even thrive in high temp tanks. a friend of mine kept his pleco tank high temp and everytime he changed a good portion of water they breed

Most ancistrus species will readily adapt to 30C, even the presumed colderwater Colombian species (which is baloney).

Furthermore, Rio Negro and Orinoco corydoras such as c. adolfoi/dupli. are found side by side with discus in their natural environments. They will fare fine in the temperatures you quote, though, from what I hear, lower levels are preferred to initiate breeding.

At work we have a Discus tank with clown loaches and i think it is a Rubber Nose pleco with them. I have only seen the pleco a couple of times. I didn't even know that it was in there.

So 2 clown loaches will be ok with the discus in my 75g tank?
I know the clown loaches get big,but iam soon buying a 125g+ tank later.
The clown loaches grow slowly isn't it..
