Hi,

I have a group of 7 bronze cories that i have had for a while now (about 6 months). I want to start breeding them. How do I do this? I have heard changing 50% of the water for cold water works, is this true, and if so do they mean room temp water or colder?
Also are they good parents or will I have to remove the eggs? I have 2 Zebra danios and 2 penguin tetras in the tank with them, will these cause a problem?
Re the eggs easy to spot when laid? I have seen a couple of my cories in the past with little white balls on the fins, I first thought it was white sport or fungus but they went after a couple of days, could these have been egss?

Cheers for any advice.

Steven

Good food and large, soft water changes. With these things in mind, it's going to be hard NOT to spawn them.

I would move the males & females in a separate tank & feed them well for a week or so. Then i would place them all together & do a 60% water change with cooler clean water. That should do the trick, but remember that the Corydoras must be over a year old & fed well regulary.
