Trying to get prepared for the Winter.....Live in Tx, so Winter really isnt very harsh, but my pond does hit in the low 50's at time....Not worried about my Koi/GoldFish, they have made it through 2 winters....I purchased 2 Plecs last yr about this time, all which did not make it...I went back for 2 more a few days later and found another floater...So, I gave up....Just about 2-3 months ago, I was feeding my Fish, and was scared by a huge shadow...It was what is now a 11" Plec....Was only about 1" when purchased....ALL this time, I didnt even know I had it...It grew that much, and is not even a Yr Yet......OKAY, so for my dilemma !!! It made it through Winter #1 about an 1-3inches. Do I chance Winter 2 being as big as he is now? Do I bring him in when its time for a couple months? IF I do, then I will start another post for ideas on Exactly how to do it....I only have a 30gal to use indoors....So for now, can I just get some comments and opinions on will it make it outside or Move it in....!!!

I'm currently in Beaumont, and it doesn't get too cold over here in the winter, so I'm thinking your pleco should be ok. They are pretty tough fish. If you are still worried about it, or the temp gets really low for some reason, you could get a heater for your pond, if any stores sell them.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
