Can anybody tell me how big or how old a bristlenose catfish needs to be to breed, also how to tell the difference between male and female...thanks

Males have thicker bristles, and have a steeply sloped forehead. Depending on which species you obtain, sizes can range from 2" through 7" in length.

Sometimes female bn cats hardly have any bristles at all, while the face of a male is covered with them. As stated above, the breeding length really does vary by species.

Thanks, I have 2 males and 3 females then, and they are around 2-3 inches long. Thanks for answering
