Well, I knew the Habrosus had started mating. I kept seeing the eggs disappear so I assumed they were being eaten before they could hatch. Well, I found out differently today.

I had just did a gravel vac on my 20 long and had let the 3 gallons of water sit there while I did something else. As I approached the bucket, it was no doubt, a fry swimming around. . There was so much gunk and crud. I let some of the water out until there was only about 2 inches of water.

I captured the little 4-5mm guy and put him back in my 20 long, releasing him right over a clump of dense Java Moss.

I'm disappointed in one sense, as I would have liked to have raised some Habrosus fry. But, I had no tank set up and no way to set up another tank (shortage of electrical and space).

Well, anyway, I hope the little guy makes it, but I figure he is on his own. With all the plants I have, I know there is microscopic food. I'll keep an eye out for the wee guy and others like him to see if I need to start dropping something like First Bites powdered food.

No questions, just wanted to share the story :%)

Good luck with the lil guy!

Maybe you can name him mini mini me?

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

- I'll probably never see the little tyke again. A 20 long with lots of hungry fish and cories is no place for a wee guy like that. I hope he has sense enough to hide so good I can't find him - for a few months . Then I hope he just blends in *prays*.
