Can or do Albino cory bite other fish? I have 5 tetras and two albino cory in my ten gallon tank, one of my tetras had his tail bitten in half and has since died.....I thought that these fish were ok to put together??????/

None of my corys have ever done anything like that...are you sure the tail was bitten? It couldn't have been rot or something?

What kind of tetra? Lots of them are nippy, but I've never heard of it in cories.

I'm guessing it was fin rot, because I have never heard of a cory biting or attacking another fish. Cories are peaceful, so I really don't think it was them.

I got an albino cory that have killed 10 tiger barbs and nearly severed one of my fingers...

well now seriously: The cories are so dam peacefull that they don't even bother to run away from the bottom cleaner, most probably the tetras are fighting for leadership within the school.

They are Bouas Aries Tetra (spelling lol) .....none of the others look like him, as in the half his tail gone , half his tail was just gone so I am just guessing that something bite his tail...are there any other signs of fin rot....

Ah, Beunos Aires tetras. Yup, I'd be willing to bet that if it looks like a bite and in fact is a bite, a fellow tetra is the culprit. Those guys can be a little nippy. They're not Serpaes or anything, but the possibility definitely exists.

No, all Corydoras are very peaceful & i don't think that your Albino attacked your Tetra.

Buenos Aires are notorious fin nippers in a large tank; in a 10g they can be downright nasty. I'd recommend a larger tank, or trade them for a smaller, more peaceful tet (such as flames, lemons, beacons, glowlights). Buenos Aires tets will also eat any plants you put in the tank. Now go tell your Cory you love him, and let him know that the nasty tets won't be around for long...
