Some of them are good for cycling, others are not. Also, you say your tank is currently cycling. What part is it at? Ammonia spike, nitrite spike, etc.? I suppose you could put them in the tank, but there's no chance that they will be able to fully cycle a tank by the time you get the angels. It just isn't that much of a bioload, whereas angels are a substantial one. I would think that, when you add the angels, you won't have enough of a biological filter established to prevent a mini-cycle. Additionally, corys prefer to be kept in groups of 6+, so you may want to consider getting some more of them. Joe Potato ![]() |

Albino corys are one of the hardier corys, so they should be okay for cycling. Consider upping the number, though. The corys and the plec should be compatable with the angels. Now, as with most cichlids, it will depend on the personality of the individual angel, but of all the angels I've encountered, none of them were so territorial as to prevent any catfish from living in the tank. ![]() Joe Potato ![]() Last edited by Joe Potato at 17-Feb-2005 18:08 |

The angels I've seen have without exception been peaceful, and I don't believe I've ever heard of one messing with cories or a pleco. And yes, cories do need to be kept in groups of at least six. It is the cory code, and it must not be broken. Please get your albinos some companions. |
