I have two aeneus cories in a 55 gallon tank. They are about 3/4 and 1 inch. I have had them for about 3/4 of a year, but they haven't grown much. Is this normal? I know they get food because I see them eat the shrimp pellets, frozen daphnia, and blood worm, and algae tablets. They are in a tank with a flying fox, and angelfish, and a platy. Are they not getting enough food? All the other fish seem to be growing well.

As long as you are sure they are getting plenty of food, then I wouldn't worry really. Corries sometimes tend to grow slowly, and are like little kids...no growth for awhile, and then boom massive growth...You might want to vary the foods you are feeding them, and make sure they get plenty...You do have more than just the 2 corries in there right? As corries tend to enjoy being in groups, and with a 55 you could easily go with 10, even if they aren't quite the same breed, they will enjoy being together better than not having friends at allhml

Two as of right now, we had three or four at one time, but they died. When I finish tank renovating there will be another aeneus cory, and three trilineatus cories. I noticed the two currently in there like to stick together.

Get a few more & they'll school together & you'll see them more. Feed them sinking pellets as soon as you switch the lights off, so on other fish will pinch their food.

Got another aeneus, but couldn't find any trilineatus at Jack's. Saw some yesterday though at Petco, but didn't get any. I also noticed, that the new corydora has longer barbels then my current ones, and the old corydora's barbels seem to be stunted and white. Anything I can do about it. I think it was called by a period of unmantinence during the school year when I was busy.
