I have one cory and I know I should get more. The problem is I'm not quite sure what species he is. I think C. Napo. If I get corries of a different species will they all school together?

Try to get cories of a similar color and then of a similar size. It's not quite as good as having all of the same species but the odd one will still swim with the others and act normally.

Get more Elegans-type corys and you'll be fine. This includes the following species:

Corydoras elegans, Corydoras bilineatus, Corydoras nanus, Corydoras undulatus, Corydoras sp. "San Juan", Corydoras guapore, Corydoras mamore, Corydoras latus, Corydoras nijsseni, and Corydoras sp. C41.

Try to buy some Corydoras of the same size, colour & body pattern & hopefully they'll school together.

You can check back where you got him/her- they will probably have more of the same.

Try and get some that are similar is size and/or coloration/pattern. I know I have some odd balls in my tank...i mean who can resist the lone coryi know i can't...

So find some at least similar in size...and you'll be good

Is that napoensis you have?

If you can find them, nanus and elegans are the closest in appearance.

Of course, if you can get more napoensis, so much the better

I currently have 7 different cory species in one of my tanks and they seem as happy with the other species as with their own. They don't spend more than 20% of their time looking for their own kind

I'd say so long as they are similar sizes they'll get on great
