This is great information thanks. If I put taller intracate wood work do you think I could get a 55 gallon tank full of just cory after giving them lots of surface area in the middle of the tank?

So what happens to be the hardest cory to keep and/or breed? I will be setting up a huge set of breeding tanks and want to know what would give challege. I know there are some really expensive cory out there that are really awsome that I would like in my personal collection. Does anyone know what ones out there are a bit spendy?

I would suggest you gather a bit more experience on breeding and raising various corydora before venturing into more expensive waters. There are hundreds of corydora out there, many of which require specialized care to spawn. The aforementioned agassizii would be a great challenge for you to tackle; they are relatively cheap, almost impossible to breed (I've only heard of one or two spawns, none with documented evidence), and quite attractive.

The agassizii were an idea to breed from the begining being that they are hard to do. How would one properly document an agassizii spawn? Is it acceptable for photo/videographic evidence or does it require logs? I mean if I intend to tackle it I may as well do it correctly.

Documentation refers to any means by which one can catalogue and verify his or her assertions---visual documentation would probably be a more accurate term, such as pictures and whatnot.

Then again, not to incite any offense, I doubt you will be able to out-perform hundreds of seasoned breeders and be the first to get aggs to mate for you, but hey, stranger things have happened . Good luck.

By no means if offense taken, I just love challenges and love fish and really love cory so why not combine them into an enigma and wrap it with curiosity and see where it takes me

Whoa, what happened here?

I came in to bounce around the thread happily because my juvenile Pandas are frolicking about nicely, and I find there's been an artillery exchange ... ???

Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that my latest batch of juvenile Pandas is developing sweetly.

Congrats Calilasseia, I would say it was more of a misunderstanding, at least thats what I hope was taken away from it. Either way, I actually came to inform everyone that I will be offering my peppered cory out to everyone in sets of 6+ by request only. These are hand raised very happy peppered cory that actually have a home in the pond outside (my koi pond) but figured if they remain to happy out there they will start to overrun the place. So I am keeping a total of 20 and have a great amount left to release to the cory club (fishprofiles) members whom are in the states. The terms of this are, they have to love these fish as there own take and have room for six or more and have to pay only actual shipping and shipping equipment charges. I have TONS of them and though they are currently happy in the 20l and 55 they are not going to be for very long. I have space for them in other tanks till I have a chance to adopt them all out I will personally ship replacements for any lost up to two weeks after delivery out of my own pocket because I want to make sure theres enough in the families.

I know that these are common fish, but they are at least really healthy well cared for fish and are after all free for the most part. Take as many as you like so long as you have space for them.
