I currently have a 20 gal with about 7 adult guppies and 5 neons. Are these fish compatible with any of the smaller cories? I know cories are schoolers, so I'd have to get about 5 or so, right? The water in the tank is soft, with big smooth rocks and a few plants.

Guppy's, Neons & Corydoras all compatible. Yes, Tetra's & Corydoras are schooling fish & at least 6 from each species is needed.

Are the Guppy's, male or female?.

Neons & Guppies ... hmm, can't think of a Corydoras they would not coexist with happily behaviour wise, though some of the hillstream species would have specialised water requirements that might be incompatible.

Most of the 'mainstream' Corys will be fine. Peppered, Bronze, julii/trilineatus (those last two are always getting mixed up because they're so similar in appearance) and if you can find them, Pandas. arcuatus and one or two of the other stripey Corys such as metae would also fit nicely. Make sure you get a decent group of one species though!

I'm probably going to end up give the fry away. But if I added the six cories, would the tank be overloaded?

If there is not enough cover for the guppy fry, what you would have is live food for the other fish in the tank.

There's enough cover for them to a few of them to live, which I'm probably going to give away when they get bigger.
