Pandas are my Favourite they look nice, only grow 5cm, have real character and are fun to watch

Pandas don't really need any special attenion, adding a few caves would be a good idea though.

I cut the tops off of my watersprite when it was getting to tall for my tank and replanted the tops... The replanted sections just keep getting bushier and not taller. My cories love to hide under the watersprite "bushes". They also have a fake driftwood arch they like to hide under and around in addition to the plant coverage. It gives them a chance to get away from my ever-inquisitive betta girls.

~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~

They should be fine, but I'd add a rock or something similar just in case. It can't hurt, because BNs like multiple hiding spaces, too. Just ask mine. He shares a tank with cories, and will use his backup cave if the cories are in his main one.

It's better to have some caves & some hiding places for the Corydoras. They like to swim around & have a good rest, aswell.

I think all cories would like some sanctuary every now and then.

Since most cories stay small, you can get a small school of any type that catches your attention.

I'm going to get rid of my two pictus cats as i'm not going to be able to get the larger tank i wanted soon enough. I've had my eye on some cory's for quite a while, so my question is:

Which species?! I would be looking to get about 4-6 of which ever species, but would like the bio load to be equal or less than two pictus cats

Other info, i have one driftwood cave a BN lives in here (with a pictus at the mo) and quite a few plants, adding more too...

I like the look of, Corydoras habrosus - Salt and Pepper Catfish or Corydoras pygmaeus - Pygmy Corydoras & Corydoras trilineatus - Three Lined Cory , but think the three lined might be a little to large for my tank, its only a 18 gal

As long as there are some hiding places in the tank, they should get along with the BN famously. They are generally pretty hardy, and will tolerate most water conditions. Pandas are great fish.

I would go ahead and get 6 or more pandas. Cory are worth there weight in gold because they help to clen up some left over food and that imo is very helpful good luck with your new cories.

Cories don't really add much to the bioload (not nearly as much as the pictus cats), so you are pretty safe with any of the smaller cories. Leopards, pandas, and pygmies would all be great choices. Personally, I would get pandas if at all possible. They have tons of character.

3 lined cories will be fine in an 18 gallon.
