very skittish but may be because of lack of numbers. very short nose and barbels. tends to swim in place in the current when the other cories dont. doesnt look like the other cories i have. i believe i have 2 and would like to know what it might be.

I am no expert on Cory Cats but could it be a Sterba's Cory? There are pictures of a lot of cories on the link below -

Nope, it is certainly not a Sterba's cory. I agree with Natalie, I think it is Corydoras leucomelas.

anything speciel i should know corry addict? they seem less likely to venture out in the open and are more skittish. is this common for them or due to the lacking numbers? barbels are also short, typical or should i be concerned. my agass have HUGE barbels.

It's probably just because they are new. How many of them do you have? Larger groups tend to make corys less skittish.

Also, they will become introverted if there is another fish harassing them, but once that fish is removed, they should return to normal.

not new at all been in there for months. rare sight to see them in the open so 1st time ive had a chance to get a pic. there are no agressive fish unless you concider yoyos agressive, and there are about a dozen cories in the tank.

im hopeing some anubias nanas will lay some cover and make them feel a bit safer. not much ground cover in the tank yet.

That's probably it. The more hiding places there are for a fish, the less they'll hide.
