	Cory options
mrwizerd Big Fish Posts: 360 Kudos: 197 Votes: 75 Registered: 24-Oct-2005	Ok so I won a cory grab bag and I am given the option of: Bandit Cory (Melini) Panda Cory & Rust Cory (Rabauti) I really like the bandits and already have several Panda's but can always use more but I cant get the Bandits or the Rust Cory anywere near me. Which is rarer?

See if you can verify which species you would actually be getting, if the seller has confused the names. In my area, C. metae and C. melini are available. I know that the distributor which ships fish here often offers these species on their stock lists. I also know that they carry C. rabauti, but not as frequently. I haven't seen C. rabauti in local stores, but C. metae and C. melini are fairly easy to get here. Other areas of the country have different situations. It really just depends on where you are and who your stores get their fish from. For the sake of this post, I'm going to have to say that C. rabauti and the "bandit" cories are both about equally easy to buy. On the Internet, I have seen each of the three species for sale in a number of areas. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
