I was wondering what is the difference between normal and orange spot bns. Because I cannot seem to find any orange spot bn pics and my commons have spots as well.

Can anyone help me out?

Mango

I've never heard of an orange-spot bristlenose. Could it be that you are referring to the orange spot Panaque? That is the only pleco I know of with "orange spot" in its name.

I know what you mean with the spots, though. I've seen many BN and common plecos with little spots, though it isn't because they are a different species. Rather, there are many varieties of common pleco/BN, and you may have just stumbled onto a spotted one.

Common BN: Dark brown-gray with light grey spots/blotches.
Starlight (?) BN: Dark, coffee brown with small orange spots.

Yeah, common names are fairly confusing. An L number would be nice. Best I can tell, you're probably looking for something smilar to what cory posted-there are several species with similar markings.

I believe they are just dif color morphs like the albinos.

Nope, those are completely different species from common BNs, unlike albinos.

They are L071, L110, and L255 respectively. My starlight bristlenose is L182. Unfortunately, PlanetCatfish doesn't have any photos of L071, and the one in the link you provided [the "silver spot"] just looks like a regular, common BN to me.

The orange or gold spot bristle nose is a bristle nose but its spots are more orange that white or gray.
