I'd like to put 2 or 3 into my 33 gallon, but I have no idea exactly how big these guys get.

The tank has a sandy bottom.

They get around 4 inches long and are great fish to have. I have three ranging from about 3.75 to a little over 4 inches long. They're very peaceful and quirky little guys.

I agree with all thats been said they get about 3-4in. Remember that they like to be in groups so try to keep at least 3-4.

Most yo-yo loaches get to be around 4 inches. Depending on what other fish there are in your tank, I would suggest 3-4 of them, as already mentioned.

Sweet, they sound very cool.

Do they eat snails like clown loaches do?

Yeah, I think most loaches will eat snails. Also, some gouramis will eat snails, too.
