Are Dojo Loaches aggressive at all in a tank and do they really go crazy during thunder storms?

They are no aggressive one bit. They are a very very docile tankmate. And yes, they actually do have a tendancy to predict storms. it's crazy

Dojos are really cool to watch. They are not agressive one bit. They swim around the tank eratically when the barometic pressure changes in the atmosphere when storms are coming. They eat just about anything and if you have the room in your tank they like to have others around. They also like to dig in gravel...

It would be best if they were kept in the lower 70's, with 75 being the maximum. temps above 75 degrees should be short-lived, so no, i would not recommend keeping a dojo loach in 80 degree water.

I would say dojos are 100% peaceful and haven't even attempted to chase or shove any of my other fish. I don't know about pressure changes. I think they are just hyper all the time and the one I had flip out of the tank did it when the weather was just fine outside. I know they can be kept up to 78F without trouble but are actually a cold water species so I'd worry about keeping them at 80F or above. Also remember they can get quite large and are used as a food fish in some countries. Usually in tanks they don't reach that much size and the species you normally see is the smaller one but they can still dominate even a 4' tank. Definitely not a good loach for smaller tanks.

Here is a link to their profile here on FishProfiles.com..
http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/360.htm

The name "weather loach" is due to the erratic swimming patterns of the fish during drops in barometric pressure.

Also, being that they are very fast swimmers, they can easily launch themselves out of a tank so a tight lid must be kept!
