I have five dojos and none of them look alike. One is a gold dojo and is very lean and small, another is a spotted gold and is shaped differently, then I have two grey dojos, and one dojo that appears to be a brownish color with spots. They all have very different faces, some are more squat while others are long and lean, and all of them have very different body shapes. Does anyone know if different species exists or are these just variations of the same species? Thanks |

The most common is the misgurnus anguillicaudatus, next most common is misgurnus fossilis, and then cobitis taenia. All 3 varieties are weather loaches and all are called dojo's. These fish originated in china as a food source believe it or not. |
