If you want a group of catfish, go with six or more cories. If you want a cat that can be kept by itself, a pleco wouldn't be a bad idea.

If you are looking for a pleco, what you get depends on what you like. There are hundreds of species, dozens of which would work out in your tank. I know that Australia is limited in selection though, so a BN or peppermint pleco (L132 or L133, right?) would be your best bet. Ancistrus plecos are very hardy, easy to feed and care for, wonderful algae eaters, and compatible with all kinds of other fish. Plus, they have plenty of character, which makes them a great addition to any tank.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
