Heh, with my troupe of lunatics it has to be Pandas!

Mine are infamous now on this Board ...

Other favorites include true julii, panda, bilineatus, hasborus, adolfoi and some others which I can't remember.

Good grief, could you imagine the mayhem in my aforementioned massive "Cory river" if there were 200 each of hastatus and pygmaeus in there along with the Pandas, the Sterbais and the various other loopy Corys that everyone here has?

But just imagine it ... something like 2,000 Corys in one aquarium ... now they'd have no problems getting sociable in a setup like that!

Let's see, a 60 foot by 5 foot by 18 inch deep shallow river would contain nearly 13,000 litres ... a little over 2,800 gallons. Yep, I'd say that should be enough space for 2,000 Corys! Dread to think of the logistical nightmare that would be the plumbing for the filtration system though ...

As for water changes and gravel vacs ... yeep.

Bad enough at times with the two aquaria I have, and they're of fairly modest proportions ...

I've just had a fun idea.

Set up a truly enormous shallow aquarium, something that's ridiculous in size such as 60 feet by 5 feet by 18 inches deep, and put in 200 each of the aforementioned FPilians' favourite Corys. That would be a complete blast.

So, we'd have 200 each of Pandas, metaes, habrosus, duplicareus, trilines, guapores ... if Heidi thinks her Corys are completely nuts, this setup should be Lunacy Incorporated. There'd be around 2,000 Corys to watch frolicking about. And in a setup that size, they'd grow to be whoppers.

Trouble is, I don't have the capital for a civil engineering project of this kind, and certainly couldn't fit it in my living room. But if someone here knows of a public aquarium that's looking for a kooky fish project to launch, pass my idea on.

Sterbai, definitely. Mine have great coloration and are pretty outgoing as well.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

Gee whiz do I have to chooseI don't think I really canHow about Corries that are alive and swimming about healthily, acting like dufesses:%)

I guess it would be a tie between metaes, habrosus, scwartzis, albinoes, skunk, and uhm what else do I have

For pattern, I like c. Trilineatus.
For behavior, it's a toss up currently between c. metae (speedy Gonzalez) and c. Habrosus.

What exactly are you hinting, Dani? You're being far too subtle for simpleminded people like me.

My favorite Corydoras species changes often, and I've got many that are high up on the list. Right now I'll go with C. guapore, this species has been growing on me lately.

What's everyone's favorite type of cory?

My lfs is pretty limited and usually only has albino and panda cories, and I haven't had either in a long time, but years ago I had 10 pandas in a 55 gallon and they were the most adorable fish I'd ever seen. I'm planning on getting some for my 29 gallon, but I wanted to make sure I'm not missing out on a better species

For color pattern, I would say my fave are
Sterbais Corys.
For size, i like the regular bronze corys best.
For personality.....Hasbrosus Hasbrosus n more Hasbrosus!!!
Small, cute, a bundle of energy and activity, diving here and there,
exploring everything,
wiggling their little
whiskers at you asking for food...greatest cory every!
