Hi Paul,

A few questions:

What are you feeding?
Who are the other fish?
How do you feed?

I assume you feed algae wafers to the pleco and the others are going for it before the pleco can. If that is right then try to break them into smaller pieces and spread them out over the tank. Removing the fish to feed him/her specifically does not seem to be such a great idea as you stress the fish each time you do so.

Also you could try (as a last resort) to add way too much food and after a few minutes (and after the pleco ate) remove any remains (very very important).

Hope this helps,

Ingo

You can feed him the sinking pellets, as soon as you switch the tank lights off & he will eat at night.

You should just try feeding him right before lights out...

What kinda pleco is it? try vegetables as well, blanched lettuce, peas, cucumber, zucchini and weigh them down so they remain at the bottom, you can try feeding him when the lights go out and everythings settled.
