I have a 29 gallon aquarium. I have 4 Gold Barbs and was wanting to add either kuhli or dojo loaches and I was wondering if the barbs would nip at/pick on the loaches. Any suggestions?

You should be fine combining the two. I'd suggest the Kuhlis, or perhaps another species (Yoyos are a personal favorite); Dojo/Weather loaches tend to prefer lower temperatures.
And might I complement you on your fish choice - the underappreciated Gold Barb is IMO one of the most beautiful freshwater fish.

Gold barbs are relatively peaceful and will be fine. The khuli loach may become 'invisible' in your tank though as they tend to hide all of the time.

My gold barbs are very peaceful, colourful and have never shown any sign of pestering other fish. They will be ideal with loaches, IMO.
