	Gold Barbs and Loaches?
jenbabe256 Big Fish Posts: 316 Kudos: 312 Votes: 10 Registered: 21-Jul-2004	I have a 29 gallon aquarium. I have 4 Gold Barbs and was wanting to add either kuhli or dojo loaches and I was wondering if the barbs would nip at/pick on the loaches. Any suggestions?

I'd suggest the Kuhlis, or perhaps another species (Yoyos are a personal favorite); Dojo/Weather loaches tend to prefer lower temperatures. And might I complement you on your fish choice - the underappreciated Gold Barb is IMO one of the most beautiful freshwater fish. -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com!

amilner Big Fish Posts: 429 Kudos: 654 Votes: 0 Registered: 05-Jul-2004	Gold barbs are relatively peaceful and will be fine. The khuli loach may become 'invisible' in your tank though as they tend to hide all of the time.

whetu Mega Fish Posts: 900 Votes: 63 Registered: 31-Jan-2003	My gold barbs are very peaceful, colourful and have never shown any sign of pestering other fish. They will be ideal with loaches, IMO.
