I would like to get some bottom feeders for my 55g

I'm thinking along the lines of panda corys or something similar. It is a planted tank, with sand substrate and I'm getting ready to add a piece of driftwood; what do you suggest I get? I've never kept bottom dwellers 'cept for a few Ottos ^_^*

You can get some Corydoras. They like sand & will do fine in your tank.

You have alot of Corydoras to choose from :- Panda, Leopard, Bronze, Albino, Peppered & so on.

Many corydoras to choose...
Leopard and panda corys are great

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

I have to agree..in my opinion corys are the best whichever ones you choose they are all cute and do a good job of cleaning up.

My personal favorite are trilineatus.

I'm also a big fan of loaches. Depending on how stocked your tank is you could get a school of cories and 3 or 4 loaches.
