I purchased 4 of these corys. They were large in size, larger than the norm of corys sold in LFS's. Here is the catch: I dont know what they are. the best way i can describe them is they look like Trillenatus's but lacking the spot in the dorsal fin... what are they?]

72 gallon bowfront:Tanganyikan Lake set up
75 gallon: A. Baenschi trio,Cyanotilapia Afra Cobwe(4), copadichromis trewavase, protomelas sp. tangerine tiger(breeding pair)

Well they weren't labled in the store.. go figure, he thought they were JULLII, duh which they wouldnt be anywa, and then he thought they were schwartzii.... not even close. I can not offer a pic, they have fairly long barbels.. more so than common ones....umm they pattern on the body best resembles the Trillenatus thats as good as it can get, but w/o the spot in the dorsal fin.. green hues like the bronze (aeneus). thats as good as it gets with the description

Could it be one of the reticulated Elegans-type corys? They do have a completely different head and body shape than C. trilineatus, however.

They are C. napoensis, C. bilineatus (the fish in my avatar), C. nanus, and male C. elegans.

The first cory mentioned, not the sterbai, looks very close, cept the cory has 2 lines running, like the "julii" but real real reallly close to that one.. if it just had the lines.. all the rest of the pattersn fit well!

Some cories look diiferent when kept in different water conditions. I have C.paleatus(peppered cories) in a tank with a pH of around 7.5. My brother also has some peppered cories but his tank is around 6.7 pH. His cories are so much darker in color than mine, it almost looks like a different species. So, just keep looking, maybe someday you'll find a picture that looks more like your cories. Below is another link to some cory pictures. Hope it helps.
