	How do I feed my young Ancistrus??
Smaug Hobbyist Posts: 66 Kudos: 72 Votes: 3 Registered: 30-Jul-2004	Hi to you all, I've boght a youth Ancistrus, he has like 3cm and I've put him in a very peacefull aquarium (100L ph7) with a couple of apistos. He is very cute but i need to know how to feed him so young... I was thinking about droping a sinking pallet or a piece of it every night, is that of? Can I give him a bit of potato or some other vegetable??

Theresa_M Moderator Queen of Zoom Posts: 3649 Kudos: 4280 Votes: 790 Registered: 04-Jan-2004	As far as regular fish food, such as sinking wafers or pellets, you may want to start by feeding at night, then gradually go a bit earlier each day. By doing that when they're young I've found they slowly become used to eating during the day when you can actually see them. I only leave fresh foods in for a day, or overnight depending on when you'd put it in the tank. Cucumber, zucchini, fresh spinach, broccoli, and sweet potato are all well liked by my BNs.
