hi everyoen,

i have 1 otto in a 25L aquarium (actual water volume). my little fish likes zuccinis very much, but i'm afraid i'd overfeed it. how much should Ottos eat?

The next time your otto is on the side of the tank to where you can see its belly, check it out. If it is full, it should bulge a little, and it should look a little like a fingerprint. (that is the intestinal tract)

Get him some pals. That way overfeeding will be less of a problem.

Oh, and if you grow algae on rocks on a sunny windowsill, be advised that hungry Otocinclus can clean them in about 35 minutes when they're in the mood to. But then I have 7 of them, and they make quite a dent in any algae I introduce!

Mindbent, when they have that 'fingerprint' abdomen, you can SEE them smiling! Well, you can see mine smiling at any rate

I only have 1 otto big enough to see a fingerprint, I am sure the other 4 are smiling though.

hmmm... i think they are smiling too much, they even try to suck on the angels.

the other day, they were sucking on my fingers while i was moving around and vacuuming... i was like... ehhh... excuse me
