It sort of looks like a Pseudacanthicus species to me. Plecos in that genus tend to get pretty big, so you'll need a good deal of tank space for an adult one.

Oh, I see it now.

It is an L-65 sp. Para, IMO. It is a rather inaccurate science with this genus, as most juveniles of said genus look nearly identical to given picture.

Unlike Zebra Plecs which have firmly defined markings, the Titanicus Plec does not. Most juvenile Titanicus you see will not have stripes, but will indeed have reticulations.

I agree, it looks like a Titanicus to me. It's a Pseudacanthicus species to be sure.

I was going to keep an eye out for
one like this on my hunts, if he is
suitable for life in a 75g tank that is.
I couldnt find any info on him, i found the pic
on a japanese wholesaler/fish farm page that
was all in japanese.

That species looks like it's going to get large, and if it does I can guarantee that it won't look like that as an adult. It will probably grow up to superficially look like a common pleco.

My first thought when I saw that fish was "hybrid", but I'm not sure. You might want to make a thread on PlanetCatfish and see if somebody over there can identify it for you.

I don't know, but he is a cutie isn't he? Are you thinking of getting him or one like him? Or are you just curious?

By the way did you ever get rid of your leech problem? I guess they too are bottom feeders
