My colleague has this catfish that looks like a Shark cat, and has eyespots on its gills. Really large eyespots. The rest of the body is a plain silverish black.

Please ID this fish for me.

Unfortunately I cannot. He doesnt have a camera, and therefore no picture. He says it looks like a shark cat, but has an eyespot on its gills on either side of the body, and no other spots on the rest of the body.

Okay, I finally found a picture, and the website says Golden Lined Cat, but I cannot find any other information on this fish.

i found this info on the net

Origin: Africa (Zaire and Congo).
Maximum length: 12 cm.
Reproduction: oviparous.
pH: acid to neutral (6.0 to 7.0).
Temperature: 23 to 28ºC.
Aquarium: medium-sized to large with rocks and plants.
Feeding: alcon BASIC, alcon Tubifex F.D., alcon Gold Spirulina Flakes.
Behavior: peaceful and close-knit.

Geez, that was fast. Thanks so much guys. It looks like a fun fish for my cichlid tank, though it seems its very difficult to find here in India.
