i don't know if this is a good enough pic, but this is the best one i have right now. i bought this guy as "albino pleco", but he doesn't look quite like my "normal" common.

...that's because he's a pterygoplicthys (spelling?) scrophus, not pardalis.

I agree, it looks like the rhino plec from that picture. They are also sold as chocolate or albino chocolate plecos, and stores sometimes label them as "albino common plecos". I hope you've got plenty of room for this fish, because they can grow large. Since you bought it as a common pleco though, I assume you planned for a large fish.

I love the rhino plecos, they are beautiful in their own way. Good luck with the new fish.

yeah, i've got plans for a 125+ tank when we finally get around to buying a house later this year. he doesn't quite look like the pics of the rhino plec from planet catfish, but he is definitely pretty close. i'll have to watch his dorsal fin a little closer to see but at least i have some idea what he actually is now
