ok guys,theres a tiger shovel nose catfish at my lfs.
basicly my guy said he imported it for a customer who left a $150 dollar deposit on it,and now my guy cant get a hold of the customer who order it,apparently his phone just keeps ringing out.
its about 6 inches long,a awesome looking catfish.
he said i could have it for $350,take the fish home now and pay it off if i want.
i was thinking of getting it,and putting that in with my aro,in the 150gal,untill the new year and move them both into the 208gall.
what do you guys think.should i grab him while 1s here.
my guy also said,that these are a import only,like he wont get them in unless some asks for 1 and leaves a deppsit.
so i doubt waether i will stumble apon one again.

i think u should get it but remember these get huge!!!!!! i have a friend that has a 38 incher in his pond!!!!!!!!! thats a lot of money for one but i dont live in aus..... one at that size at my lfs would be maybe $50....... but hey ur gona need to watch ur jar get a lot of caves and maybe get some tinfoils for the tank so the aro will have something else to pick on lol!!!!!!

well i havent said id take it yet,he did say he would throw in a big wood log,for it to get into.
yeah in the us,they are easy to get,over here they are pretty rare,thus the $350 price tag.
but ill keep on thinking,and decide waether or not to get it.

yea they are nver nice looking fish untill about 12 inches then they turn stunning!!!!! yea thats nothing compared to his 40 inch red tails!!!!!!!

yeah im really thinking about getting it,i just want him to come down a bit in price.i know hes only tyring to get hes money back,but sometimes with things like this,they have to be prepaired to take a loss.
plus he still got to pocket the $150,that the guy left as a deposit.
im going up there 2morro to give him a answer.
thanx for letting me know callatya,but im not real concerned with that.
