I just put 2 oto's in my tank about a week ago, they've done a great job with the algae, but yesterday I caught one of them sucking on my Jullii cory! Is this normal? OR should I send the oto back to the lfs? I really like my cory cats, I don't want the oto's hurting them...

Are you sure it was really sucking and not just laying on top of the cory. Otos, as far as I know, are not known to suck other fish!!

Plecos are sometimes known to do so, and CAE are really known for this.

Another thing, if the oto was really sucking on the julii, wouldn't the julii swim off real fast to get it off?

Take the otto back and let them know what he did. Some sucker-type fish do have a habit of liking the slimecoats of other fish. Whenever you see this happen, immediately take that fish back b/c he'll end up killing the other fish...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

Believe me, once the cory cat caught on to what was going on, he was outta there...but this one oto is hanging around the group of cories alot. I think I will take them back...don't know what I'll do with my algae now...

I'd get a DIFFERENT otto. Otto's are not known for this type of behavior, so I'd say you just got a unique one this tiem. I'd try a new otto and see if he works out...
