I have a common pleco in a 55 gallon tank with an assortment of mollies and some white skirt tetras. anywho, the mollies keep the tank pretty free of algae, i've even tried to grow some by leaving the tank lights on for a week.. ok.. back to the point.. normally i just feed it algae wafers, but for the past three days, he wont eat them. i usually put them right down in front where he sees them, then he goes over and gets em.. and.. i do do this when the lights are turned off.. i cant figure out why hes not eating, i've had him for months, and he knows this routine.. im confused and worried he might starve! he's about three inches maybe four inches long.. i say he.. but i dont exactly know... is there anything i can feed him that is more tempting?

this is a link that shows my setup and the pleco:

You can place a rock in some aquarium water & leave it for some time in the sun & Algae will form on it & then you can place the rock in your tank & the Pleco will feed on it.

You could also try Tetra Min tablets.....they have a little more meat in them. I've heard that when plecos (commons in particular)get a little older they like more of a meat based diet and less of a vegetarian diet. If the Tetra Min tablets don't work for him your other fish will eat them.
