Okay, I'd like to get some pandas somewhere, I don't think they would like being in my african chichlid tank(46g), nor in my Betta Breeding tank (1og), but I could always be woung.

I am thinking of adding four to my 10/15g (Im pretty sure it is 15g, but I didn;t buy it)

My stock list is this:
3 Plattys
2 Longfinned Gold Zebra Danios
5-7 Fry (some mollys, a few guppies) I plan on moving these after awhile though

Or, my other option is getting a 5g Mini-Bow for my Betta, but I think they would be a little crowded?

Where could I put them?

I wouldn't add any Corydoras in your setups, as they like to be in schools of at least 6 & you don't have much place for them.

I also heard that you can put them in groups of four and they do just fine...

Wouldn't do it with Pandas.

Pandas are more than usually in need of companions compared to the larger Corys. In my experience you need a minimum of 8 for them to be truly happy, and preferably more.

When I had my October wipeout and lost several of my Pandas, and the numbers dropped to 7, they were noticeably less active than they were when I replenished the stock and brought the numbers up to 10. Since then they've started spawning again, and two offspring have bumped up the numbers to 12!

Go ahead and get 4 Pandas. They'll be fine.

I would say get six or more. You defo notice the difference in their behaviour if there is less than six.

Pandas are one of the smallest corys you can get they are not vey big fellows. You might be alright with six ask around abit more see if anyone else kept six in your size tank

What are your tank dimensions?

24" x 12" x 12" is perfectly adequate for a group of 8 in my experience, provided you don't have anything big and chunky already living in there.

Just make sure that they receive scrupulous attention to cleanliness, have a filter with a decent throughput, and a carefully planned environment for them to frolic about in with a nice varied diet and they should be OK. What will limit you here is your existing stock.

I'd consider replacing the Platys with a small Tetra species as companions. That will give you some more room for manouevre.

Unfortunatly, I lost a platty mysteriously this morning.

Why should I replace them?
