Janna Mega Fish Posts: 1386 Registered: 24-Aug-2003	It looks a lot like my female to me. They don't have the big bristles like the males. If I look closely at the 3rd picture, I can see some mini bristles. Just like a female. Sounds like she's a she, not a he. They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes, They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

I'm worried about its left eye that appears to be a bad case of cloudy eye. I won't add any medication but rather will just wait it out a week to see if it clears up. I serious hope he's not blind...

sly Big Fish Posts: 377 Kudos: 251 Votes: 0 Registered: 22-Jun-2004	Just wondering if people can confirm whether or not I really purchased a Bristlenose Pleco a couple days ago. The reason I'm concerned is that it doesn't have any whiskers/bristle and is about 2.5-3inches. Its also appears to be suffer a bit from fin rot, left cloudy eye, and perhaps velvet. I hope this one is a female, can't find any gold female BN so i took a chance hoping this one would grow up female Gee Gee !!I think I just learned somthing new!!

He was a cute little sucker! I thought it was so cool that you could see how his tummy was all green when he had just munched on a bunch of algae. He was about double the size he is in the pics when he died and never showed bristles, either. I think "he" might have been a she...[/font][/font] ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~
