If you are interested in a particular type of fish you can try to get them off aquabid. Or you can wait til your LFS can get them. I have a couple LFS that will do special orders for me.

hmmmmm, thanks.
I have tried pet supplies plus, and they don't carry them but ya never know when they might get some, and the petco and petsmart here didn't seem like they wanted to order them, even. The guy at petland would order them tho, but as they are seasonal you have to wait for the season. sigh

ps... never really liked the idea of ordering a critter thru the mail, just doesn't seem right to me

The LFS I work at has most common loaches in pretty regularely, meaning yoyos, kuhliis, weathers, etc. I'd try calling a couple places, and seeing who can do the special order for you if necessary. I'm not a big fan of chain pet stores fish...

There's nothing wrong with ordering offline, except shipping will be about $30.

divertran, ou got to remember that your LFS gets the fish through the mail.

It is really safe, and in the winter they are shipped with heatpacks.

Theres only one problem, shipping cost alot of money, so you could pay $35 now for your yoyo's or wait untill your LFS gets them and only spend around $5 for 2 of them.
