On Sunday I got 3 more bronze aeneus cories so they can have some friends. Yestersday (Tuesday) I noticed that the old (albinos) are kind of lazy. They usually just kind of sit there only moving every 5 minutes or so.(Unless theres food of course, then they start nibling at it before it sinks to the bottom.) The new ones (bronze) by comparison are psycho. I haven't seen them stay still for more than 30 seconds. They are constantly schooling with each other and they even try to school with my harlquins. Is all this normal cory behavior? I hope so because the are so fun to watch.![]() 20 Gallon Long: Aquaclear 300 2 Bolivian Rams, Mikrogeophagus altispinosus: Gumby and Pokey |

Though different species of Corydoras follow general behavior patterns, a single group can act totally different than the norm. This will also depend on outside factors as well, such as shoal numbers, total cories in a tank, water quality and so on. |

Just give them time to "meet" the new Corydoras & then they'll start schooling together. ![]() http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
