I've just acquired a leopard plec from a friend because it grew too big for his tank. He's in my 50G with a BN and i was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the two together? Also the tank is planted and i wasn't sure if the leopard would uproot everything! He's been in the tank happily moooshing around since sunday evening and so far everyone else in the tank doesn't seem to mind him!

Leopard pleco? Are you talking about the [link=leopard frog pleco]http://planetcatfish.com/catelog/loricari/peckolti/213_f.php" style="COLOR: #808080[/link] or the [link=leopard cactus pleco]http://planetcatfish.com/catelog/loricari/pseudaca/208_f.php" style="COLOR: #808080[/link]? There are some big differences between the two, so knowing which one you have is important.

The frog plec should be fine, they are peaceful and grow to only four inches. The leopard cactus pleco might be something else though, as they grow to nine inches or so. A big cactus plec might boss the BN around, though I doubt that much harm would come to either fish if squabbles occured. BNs are pretty boisterous themselves, and can stand all kinds of aggressive tankmates. I don't know how tolerant leopard cactus plecos are of other plecs, so just be on guard!

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

The spotted gibbiceps also sells as "leopard" around here. I also purchased my L-264 as a "leopard". Pics would help.

Just as I expected(kinda. A very nice spotted gibby. Yeah he will get big. Dont keep him past 8-10" as you will see your nitrAtes sky high(if your filters can handle it). I sold mine at about 9"(55gal). My favorite fish to the day. Great algea eaters and pretty tough(kept mine with africans). If you really like them, buy small, grow and trade/sell. Really nice fish to own.
