SE Texas, Houston area predominately had really awful storms, where you were either under Tornadoe, Flash Flood, or Severe Storm Warnings/Watches all weekend...Though the Pasadena area didn't see too much of it, we apparently saw enough to get all of our fishies to be in love...Yesterday, as I was helping Leslie do her weekly water changes, we noticed that she had quite a few eggs, and since the only thing in the tank is Hasbrosus well, we know what they are...Today again there were more, and the *cough*Little Lady*cough* of the tank was driving the guys in the tank insane ![]() Tonight when I was doing my nightly feedings and headcounts, I sat and watched/enjoyed the 125 when suddenly I see this flash of movement Well, ya'll guessed it, I have fry Corydora fry to be exact I sat and watched till one of the big mean albinos came and swam way too close and the little guy yes, i know it's too soon to call it guy or gal, but for some reason I refer to them as guys, while the guppies are gals:%) took off and hid...I saw a lot more sudden movements that I couldn't quite pinpoint the cause of so I'm sure there are more in there...He seemed to be only 6-8 mm so I'm sure he is a newborn, probably my guess from this weekend though he could be a little older...who knows, after the water changes I've been doing they have a right to be frisky and again I know it is too soon to truly tell what type of corydora he is, but he looks more Schwartzi (sp?) than meAnyways just thought I'd share my happiness of love and friskiness in the laird household's tanks... hml "I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." Which probably met their demise courtesy of the Lemon Tetras. Or the snails. Which means that they were being all frisky and energetic during the night. Hmm. Interesting. Next time, I shall look and see if any are laid on the front glass again, and try and save them. CAn't have too many baby Pandas. ![]() |
