I'm so excited i've raised my bn's from little babies and had 3 females i bought a male 6 days ago and i noticed eggs this morning some with black dots and from what i've read that means they're already 2 days old !
So any advise from anyone would be great, i've never raised fry before
Thanks Yvette

Lots of blanched lettuce, cucumber, peas, silver bett, any green vegies!!!!.

Clean clean water, bare bottom tanks.

Wood for them to rasp on.

BNs are awesome, i love them, ive raised a few batches of fry. So keep us posted on how its going.

They sell well in the end as well

Matt.

Sponge filter its the only way to go with babies. lots of area for bacteria to grow and they dont suck the babies in

Hmmm

Mine never moved the eggs

I guess theyll be ok so long as the males there guarding them. They pretty varacious that way.

Id say just keep and eye on them, no doubt you are any way.

OK i got bad news

i tried to put the eggs back in as he wasn't near them but somehow the other end of the tube he's in got uncovered (it was buried in gravel) and the eggs got out the other end and the female was eating/attacking them?? not sure which so unfortunatly it was unsuccesful this time.

Any ideas as to why he didn't look after them ?
would it be because that was the first time he's bred with her or because there's 3 females and 1 male

Thanks again for the advise will store the info for next time

Yvette

Im not sure why that happened

The BNs ive breed have allways been very good parents.

Theres allways another time though

Good luck for next time.
