Logperches?

Are these native North Americans by any chance?

Post scientific name ASAP!

Also, waiting for pics ... can't wait to see what these guys look like ...

yup, another native of mine.. full of personality, much like corys, actualy, its rather fully but even though my corys are only like 2 inches at MOST they are schooling with them, and even playing in the bubbler, and running up and down the tank walls like my corys, they are still real skittish, but the largets one has warmed up to me, and doesnt run away when I approach..

Wow, nice fish ... a SMILEY fish to boot!

In some of your pictures it looks as if it is genuinely smiling!

Just checked Fishbase ... says it's an 18 cm fish when fully grown ... and I gather somewhat active. Doesn't say anything about territoriality though, however, with it being a member of the Perch family, that's an issue that might be worth investigating as the fishes grow older ...

well, they school! and yes VERY active, just like a big cory lol they will deff be needing a bigger tank no aggression at all yet, very tollerant to the corys active nature *meaning they get bashed in the head alot lol*

and yea, they realy do seem to smile alot lol a 29 gallon is deff too small for them, one of them has already attempted to jump ship.. *but a tight hood just gave him a headache*

i'm learning so much lol
